Just a Day, Just an Ordinary Day

She went into the room and met with the surgeon, he told her of the procedure. He got her hopes up saying he could go in and find her acl totally intact, 10%, she'll take it. He told her of the risks and all the drugs they'd have her on. He played with her leg and told her what he thought. Then she went to meet with the preop nurse who again explained the surgery, the drugs, the risk, etc.

Then she went to get another xray, one just for the surgeon, then to PT. She met her new trainer person, he was nice but he said she had alot of work ahead (as if she didn't already know) He put her through a work out and then electricuted her knee.

On the way home she couldn't stop the tears. She had been calm, taking it well but the surgery had hit. She was scared and she was mad. She knew she'd be alone, there woulc be no one there to hold her hand, to dry her tears, to tell her everything would be ok. She finally realized the surgery would be the easy part, all the work she had done would be lost and have to be redone, the 6 months ahead of her would be some of the hardest of her life.

She just drove home and cried.
